Juanita's obituary

Juanita  Luscomb, our loving and devoted mother, grandmother, “Big Gram” and friend to all whose lives she touched, left us while sleeping peacefully at her home in Sanford, Maine on April 1, 2022. She born Sept 17, 1933 in Milton Mills, NH, daughter of the late Warren and Marguerite Clough.

It would be wrong to say that Juanita lost her battle because she never stopped fighting. No matter how sick she was, she was always independently and stubbornly determined to stay strong. Her joy for life kept her pushing through the pain. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like.

Juanita was employed in the manufacturing industry for many years before retiring from Phase ll in Rochester, NH. She was a hard-working dedicated employee and was admired by her co-workers.

She was fond of her flower garden, reading, watching bird’s from her kitchen window, admired the loon’s at her camp and profoundly enjoyed spending summers there; even more so when family was there with her. She was also very fond of the Annual Family “Spaghetti Day” she commenced over 60 years ago that has been renowned every year since. Holidays were a favorite of hers as well, she always made her rounds to make sure she saw her family. Juanita was a walking calendar, she remembered every birthday, anniversary and graduation of all 43 grandchildren and never missed sending a card~ each of them looked forward to receiving Grammies  card in the mail every passing year. With her family of five generations, there have been many special memories acclaimed that she was able to take with her and that her family will cherish.

She always had a warm smile to share as well as a good joke and a Moxie. She was a selfless, spunky, sassy, extremely independent woman. She was such a beautiful presence in this world, she will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew her and will be sorely missed.

Juanita is survived by her beloved partner, Robert “Bobby” Burrows of 43 years; her four daughters and their husbands Helen and Wesley Glennon, Karen Ryan, Cindy and Tom Maier, Wanda and John Holmes; grandchildren Christopher Luscomb, Jennifer Seavey (Michael), Heather Feddern (Mark), Michelle Glaude, Tammy Mooney (Jerry), DJ Crawford, Amy Crawford (Joey), Joshua Luscomb, Jodi Gould (Patrick), Julie Mollica, Thad Guldbrandsen, Chantel Holmes (Jacob) and Curtis Holmes; great grandchildren Kenneth Paul Jr, Heather Bright, Zachary and Megan Feddern, Krystal Atkinson, Kendra Fogg, Brittany Eldridge, Alexis and Brayden Cole-Mooney, Kennedy Boston, Cole, Alana and Sophie Colon, Jacob Luscomb, Cooper, Mollica, Cassily and Lindy Gould; great-great grandchildren Connor, Sawyer, Owen, Bram, Charlotte, Madelyn, Brennah, Cambree, Channing, Camden and Aliyah along with several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brothers Leon, Herbert and Fred Clough; son Kenneth Luscomb Jr and grandson Matthew Fogg.

There will be no service. A private Celebration of Life with her family will be held at a later date.
