Personal note from The Dooley Family

Thank you for visiting this page in honor of our Nita. She lived with steady grace, deep care, and a faith that shaped how she moved through the world—not loudly, but with lasting impact.

This space holds the details of her memorial, along with room to share stories, revisit memories, or simply reflect. However you choose to remember her—by sending flowers, saying a prayer, or pausing for a moment in your day—we’re grateful.

If you plan to join us in celebrating her life in person, you can view the invitation and RSVP here:

Updates

Update from May 28, 2025

What to Expect on June 7

We’ll gather at 2:00 p.m. at the Pink Beds Picnic Shelter in Pisgah National Forest—one of her favorite places—to celebrate Nita’s life together. There won’t be a formal program, but there will be space to share stories, reflect, and enjoy the stillness she so often sought. Light refreshments and coffee (of course) will be available.

Bookmarks made in Nita’s memory will be on the memory table as a small keepsake to take home.

If you feel moved, we invite you to bring a photo, note, or small keepsake to share. A bowl will be on the memory table to collect them, and we’ll be gathering these into a memory book for the family—a small way to hold on to the love shared today.

Come as you are. Stay as long or as little as you’d like—we’re simply grateful to be together in her honor.
