Juanita's obituary
She had a childhood of baby dolls, ballet & tap dancing, and adventures with her brother Jerry, as well as her dad’s zoo with a bear, alligator, foxes, and more. She adored her grandparents and aunts and uncles. That love flowed into her own family when she married Robert Warren Wolfe in 1956. This summer they would have celebrated 64 years of marriage.
She loved her children: Juli (Mark), Robb (Susan), Holly (2015) (Dave), Ladd (Beth), Heather (Mark), Spencer Patrick (Mariko), Heidi (Dan), and Noel. She was blessed with 23 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
Her love and service extended beyond family as she spent many years with Holt International Children’s Services processing newly adopted children through immigration upon their arrival in the U.S. She later served on Holt’s Board of Directors. So many people called her mom, people in places like Nigeria, Korea, Guatemala, and India, just to name a few.
The hole that she leaves behind is massive, but being the Jesus girl that mom was, and that faith she introduced, modeled, and guided us through tells us we’ll be reunited with her again. Until then, Mom, rush into the arms of Him, turn, embrace Holly, your parents, and all those who’ve waited to see the sparkle in your eyes, and hold you again. Forever loving you.
