Juan de Dios Venegas, a beloved resident of Parker, CO passed away at the age of 46, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He was surrounded by his loved ones as he peacefully departed from this world on June 21, 2023.
Born in Mexico City and raised in Colorado Springs, Juan was a true native of the state he called home. He was an avid Broncos and Nuggets fan and loved cheering on his Denver teams. He attended Harrison High School, where he excelled both academically and athletically. Known for his endurance and determination, Juan showcased his athletic prowess as a dedicated member of the cross-country and basketball teams.
His athletic achievements earned him a cross-country scholarship to New Mexico Highlands University, where he continued to pursue his passion for running. Juan’s dedication and hard work were evident in his commitment to his sport, always striving to push his limits and achieve new heights.
While Juan had many passions in life, his greatest source of joy came from his family. He is survived by his mother, Josie Ford, whom he loved tremendously. Additionally, he leaves behind his four beautiful children: Patrick Zachary, Amara Venegas, Nick Venegas, and Kane Venegas, and his devoted girlfriend, Dina Caraballo, and her son, Michael. Juan’s family was the center of his universe, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
A caring and affectionate father, Juan shared his love for music and art with his children. He introduced them to his favorite songs and performers and loved that his children enjoyed the same music he did. His kids inherited his artistic abilities and each of them will remember him through their shared artistic talents. Whether it was taking them to the movie theater to watch their favorite superhero or comic book movies, embarking on shopping adventures, bowling, or sharing a meal together, his children held the most special place in his heart. Juan’s love for his kids knew no bounds, and their bond is unbreakable.
Juan loved Nike shoes and Transformers, constantly seeking out new additions to his cherished collections. His children looked forward to opportunities to gift him items that would enhance his assortment, knowing how much he appreciated them. The act of adding to his collection brought joy to both Juan and his kids.
Throughout his life, Juan faced numerous challenges, but he never faltered in his determination. He was a true fighter, showing incredible resilience in the face of adversity. With a heart of gold and a lighthearted sense of humor, Juan brought laughter and joy to those around him. He brightened the lives of many with his infectious smile and positive spirit.
Juan de Dios Venegas will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and loved ones.
