Juan's obituary
Juan Antonio Urrutia (84) passed away peacefully at home on September 6, 2024 surrounded by his loved ones. Juan, a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather was born to Ramona and Carlos Urrutia on January 27, 1940, in Escobedo, Coahuila.
Juan Antonio was united in marriage to the love of his life, Marina, on April 30, 1962 and blessed with 5 children and 8 grandchildren. He was a man filled with unconditional faith who deeply loved his family. His greatest role was being “Apa” to his grandchildren who brought him the most love and comfort during his most difficult days. He was a man filled with charisma and humor who never missed an opportunity to bring laughter to anyone he encountered, whether at the grocery store, doctor’s office or at the meat market.
In his leisure time, Juan found joy in the simple pleasures of life – relishing moments with loved ones, sharing stories, and taking family trips to the beach. While being at home, you would usually find him sitting on his recliner watching Cantinflas movies or sitting on the porch smoking his favorite cigarette with a cup of coffee or half of an empanada wearing his beloved Wrangler jeans and button down plaid shirts.
As we reflect on Juan Antonio’s life, let us remember him not only for his kind spirit, warm presence, and his wonderful sense of humor, but also for his courage, resilience and endless optimism that will continue to inspire us all.
Juan is survived by his wife; Marina; children; Jorge, Sandra, Patricia and Jenny, grandchildren; Christie, Andrew, Stephen, Ethan, Matthew, Shane, Liam and Jaxon.
Although Juan’s journey has come to an end, he is reunited with his loved ones who preceded him in death. He joins his mother; Ramona, father; Carlos, son; Juan Carlos, brothers and sister; Valeriano, Carlos, and Socorro, in eternal peace. Their spirits will forever watch over the family, providing comfort and guidance.
Juan’s memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His love, strength, and unwavering spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to be touched by his presence. As we bid farewell to this remarkable man, let us remember him for all the joy he brought to those around him.
May Juan’s soul find eternal peace, and may his memory forever be a blessing to those whose lives he touched.
Rest in peace, “Apa”. Your legacy will forever live on in our hearts.
