Juan's obituary

JUAN SILVINO RODRIGUEZ, 82 died in peace unexpectedly surrounded by his immediate family on September 19, 2021 at Kendall Regional Hospital in Miami, FL. He was born on February 17, 1939 in Havana, Cuba the son of Juan Rodriguez Cabrera and Edelmira Olivero Riopelle.

Juan graduated from Maristas Brothers School in 1956 and then decided to pursue his career in Mechanical Engineering at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. In 1959 while attending the university he met the love of his life Maria Zoila (Mary) Aguilar. After they both graduated, they married on September 14, 1963 in Puerto Rico.

Juan was always determined to provide for his family and give them the life they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. Anyone who knew him knew that he was the most loving father, husband, brother and son a family could ask for. Juan was predeceased by his parents Juan Rodriguez and Edelmira Olivero, his brother Raul Rodriguez and his sister Carmen Cordova. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Mary, and his children Lourdes and husband Chris Carter ; Juan Rodriguez and Raul Rodriguez; seven grandchildren Nicole and husband Anthony Lopez, Michelle and Christopher Carter, Alex, Andrew, Joseph and Bryson Rodriguez; three great grandchildren, Ava Sophia, Niko and Luka Lopez; his sister Maria (Maruja) and husband Dr. Miguel Quiñones and many nieces and nephews.
