Juan's obituary

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

One of the most important people in our lives passed into eternity.

A loving husband, father and grandfather, Juan Ruiz Toledano, passed away on February 24, 2024 to be with His Lord.

Don Juan Ruiz Toledano was born in Mexico City on July 5, 1959.

First of what would be Don Juan’s most important life decision was when he united his life with Blanca Ruiz Cisneros on February 4, 1978. From this union they had two beautiful  children, Juan Israel Ruiz and Blanca Ivette Ruiz. In search of economic stability, Juan and his wife decided to make a move to Chicago 1989 and have been residence of Chicago ever since.

Don Juan’s move brought triumphs, achievements and joys to him and his family, but nothing compared to what later would become his greatest motivation, his newfound love of his five grandchildren, namely Joshua, Mia, Giovanni, Lía and Reubén. He was "the" best grandfather and “the” number one fan of his grandchildren.

Yet another motivation happed to Don Juan; In the summer of 2017 Don Juan commit his life the Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Since then he became passionate about sharing the love of His Lord with family, friends and others, while also became an integral part of his church, Arbol de Vida, which he had now adopted as his new spiritual family.

Now that Don Juan has passed into the arms of his Lord, we should remind ourselves that while this is the end of Don Juan’s physical life on Earth, it’s the beginning of an eternal and beautiful journey for him.

Don Juan is survived by Blanca Ruiz Cisneros his wife; Israel and Blanca Ruiz his children; Joshua, Giovani, Mia, Lia and Reuben his grandchildren; and his beloved relatives in Mexico which includes his brothers and nephews.

One of Don Juan's favorite verses was:

“You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.”

-Revelation 4:11-

May Don Juan rest in the peace of the Lord and the legacy he has left for his family and friends.

We love you to eternity Don Juan.
