Juan Pablo's obituary
LT Juan Pablo Garcia Castro, 37, died unexpectedly on June 08, 2025 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. His loss was completely unexpected and his family, friends and community are deeply shocked and saddened.
Juan Pablo was born on June 08, 1988 to Carolina and Juan Garcia in Lima, Peru. Juan Pablo attended Horizon High School, Northern Arizona University and the Naval Post Graduate School. While studying various things, he had a deep passion for learning, obtaining knowledge and believing in higher education. After marrying his wife, Nora Garcia he went on to join the Navy and forged a career path from a deck seamen to a lieutenant/ Surface Warfare Officer. While in the Navy, Juan Pablo got to fulfill his wanderlust gene and travel the world meeting so many wonderful people along the way. Juan Pablo and Nora Garcia also have two beautiful children, Scarlet and Mariana Garcia.
Anyone who knew Juan Pablo, knew that he was devoted, loyal and hard working husband, father, friend and shipmate. He had immense pride in his service and loved his family and friends fiercely. Outside of his love of his family and friends, He enjoyed gaming, listening to music, watching movies, eating sushi, drinking a good drink, riding his motorcycle and car. Juan Pablo is survived by his wife Nora, their two daughters, Scarlet and Mariana, his parents Juan and Carolina Garcia, his brother David Garcia and his wife Jacky Ortiz, all of Nora's family, childhood friends Karra Garcia, Kyle Davis and Jason English along with numerous friends and shipmates.
