Juan's obituary

Peacefully, at 91 years old, on August 16, 2024. Born in Tudela, Spain to Ascension Jusue and Juan Bautista Dachary as one of 11 children. Predeceased by his parents and  brothers & sisters: Ramon, Elias, Jesus,  Eugenio, Martin , Mary, Angela, Jose Luis, and Alfonso.

Juan is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary; children: Loren, Carlos (Tammy), Elisa (Joey Prats), Marcos (Heather); grandchildren: Nolan Obenesser,  Alexa & Aiden Prats, Violet & Rafael Dachary,  Andre Dachary; brother Ramon and many nieces and nephews across Spain.

As a youth, Juan worked with his siblings on the family farm. He studied medicine at the University of Zaragoza before joining the Spanish Army to serve his tour of duty.   After completion, Juan ventured to Canada and ultimately Brooklyn, NY to complete his residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology.  There he met the love of his life, Mary,  and ultimately got married. They moved to Doldgeville,  then Herkimer and settling in New Hartford, NY.   He opened an office in Utica, NY and provided medical services to many women in the surrounding area. He also had practiced at St. Elizabeth's Hospital and delivered countless babies into this world.  After retirement,  Juan and Mary moved south to Hallandale Beach, to live out their lives in the warm Florida sunshine.

Juan was a family man and when not working or on call he enjoyed spending time with them. He was an avid gardener, loved to dance, play tennis and drink wine with friends. He had an infectious laugh and enjoyed telling stories of his life. He will be dearly missed.

A celebration of Juan's life will be held at a later date.
