Juan's obituary
With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Juan Chavez-Morales on the 11th of May, 2024. Born on March 21, 1954, Juan lived a fulfilling life filled with love, joy, and cherished moments.
Juan is survived by his daughters Tammie Chavez-Morales, Brittney Mejia, and his sons John Chavez and Juan Morales. His undying love also extends to his sisters Elizabeth Herrerra-Chavez, Miriam Herrerra-Chavez, Leticia Morales-Chavez, Silvia Morales-Chavez, Magali Herrerra-Chavez and his brothers Jose Herrerra-Chavez, Jesus Herrerra-Chavez, Eduardo Herrerra-Chavez. His love also shone brightly for his grandchildren Alex Rosas, Christian Rascon, Jesslynn Rosas, Armani Mejia, Nalani Powell, Kaleb Powell, Juan Morales, Exxence Mejia, Amory Rosas, Samantha Rosas, Anthony Rosas, Avery Mejia, Amira Mejia, Yazmine Garcia, Jayden Rosas, Christopher Lopez, and Sam Lopez, all of whom he adored intensely.
Juan is also survived by his son-in-law, Hibis Mejia. He was predeceased by his beloved mother, Ramona Chavez, and his grandson, D.J. Chavez. Juan's good humor, straight-to-the-point personality, and love for his family will forever be remembered. His lessons, including not taking things for granted and cherishing each moment with loved ones, will be part of his enduring legacy.
One could often find Juan at home, his favorite place, spending time with family. He enjoyed simple pleasures in life like eating his favorite foods - eggs, beans & nopales, drinking coffee, and watching his favorite TV shows - Sports & The News. A fan of Baseball, Football, and Nascar, he loved grilling with the family, going fishing, or to Casinos. Juan also enjoyed walking around the neighborhood, and playing Lotteria and scratch off tickets. His dedication to his family was evident by the causes he cared for and advocated - His family.
His loss is a deep void in our lives, and he will be incredibly missed. His indomitable spirit, life lessons, and laughter remain etched in our hearts. Rest in peace, Juan. You have left behind a legacy of love, strength, and wisdom, and your memory will forever live on in all those you have touched.
