Juan's obituary

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Juan Cervantes on March 26, 2025. Born on September 4, 1945, Juan lived a full and vibrant life filled with laughter, love and cherished memories.

A dedicated worker, Juan retired in 2019 from his career at the Ardagh Group, having made significant contributions to the company. His work ethic was revered by all who knew him, and his absence will be deeply felt in the professional field.

In 1968, Juan married his beloved wife, Argelia Cervantes, beginning a journey filled with love, companionship, and shared dreams. Together, they built a life filled with joyous moments that will be fondly remembered by all who were part of their love story.

Juan's life was marked by a genuine love for food, with his favorite dishes being spaghetti and meatballs, chile rellenos, and gorditas de asada. His favorite beverage choices were iced tea and coffee. Those who shared these meals with him will forever associate these tastes with his charismatic presence.

Juan was an avid music fan who especially loved "Te juro que te amo" and oldies. He enjoyed watching TV shows like Cantinflas, El Chapulin Colorado, La India Maria, Viruta y Capulina, and Los Polivoces. A supporter of the Cubs, Juan was a sports fan who loved watching boxing .

His downtime was often spent watching TV, spending time with his family, or indulging in a great meal. His idea of exercise was a calm walk, and he always looked forward to his vacation trips to Mexico. Locally, Kankakee was one of his favorite spots to visit.

Known for his cheerful and humorous nature, Juan had a knack for making jokes and bringing smiles to everyone's faces, making him a joyous presence in any gathering. His love for the color green was a unique part of his personality that his loved ones will always remember.

We mourn the loss of Juan Cervantes, yet we celebrate the life he lived, filled with laughter, love, and cherished memories. His legacy will forever be his cheerful personality, his heartwarming humor, his love for family and friends, and his unique life stories. We will forever remember him with fondness, love, and admiration
