I remember all that he and his wife Dr. Jennifer did to beautify our Basilica grounds with the flowers they planted.

Dear Family of Jerry Johnson,

Jerry Johnson made a difference in the lives of many and consistently in a positive way.  What I will always remember as especially admirable were his devotion to his wife, Dr. Jennifer, and his family; his devotion to his Catholic Faith; and his great story telling skills. I worked with Jerry in connection with the St. John Guild at the Basilica of St. John the Baptist Church.  He faithfully served our organization for 6 years and then 2 more years whenn we became the Altar and Rosary Guild.  He will be missed.

So sorry to hear of JR’s passing. He was a great guy and helped me immensely with advice and suggestions when I was creating the base for My Buddy Butch. I’ll always have fond memories of the brief work we did and  I wish we could have done more together.

JR was an incredible man, from his wide array of life experiences, to the way he took care of those around him. From his fun loving nature and storytelling abilities, to his gentle heart toward animals. Though it is heartbreaking to see such a great guy go, there is no doubt that he lived a great life and is leaving behind a legacy in his family, friends, and community. We’ll miss you, JR. Thank you for all the memories. ♥️
