Junior and I served together at 3/75, at 4th RTB, and then at the USMC Basic Recon Course in Coronado, CA. It broke my heart to hear the news of his passing. Junior was in California before me and helped me  find an apartment for my family (before the internet); he welcomed us when we got there; he helped us get settled, and we carpooled to work everyday. He even had us over for Thanksgiving dinner. He was just a great human being. I’ll never forget him sharing with me the news that he was having twin daughters. He was shocked, but man, he loved those girls. We will all miss you Junior; you were an example for others to follow and a joy to be around. Love and prayers to the family of this great man.

I will always remember the times we had at Fort Davis.  He was a good man with a big heart.   I Cherish in recent years being able to see him in Fort Worth and Jacksonville. Rangers lead the way.  My thoughts and Prayers are with the family.  Love Kenny

What a difference this man made in my life. I only knew him for a short period, but he’s made a difference in the rest of my life. I think about 1SG all the time. Thank you.
What a great guy! I knew him before I went into the Army and we had a connection as I was from the Canal Zone and he had gone to High School there. He was a great guy and the banter between he and my wife Jeanne was epic! The guy was one of the most fun loving, funny  and thoughtful guys I knew. It really meant something to me when he showed up to my Infantry officer basic course graduation in his uniform and handed me a Ranger tab. What a guy, Jeanne and I still share a laugh about those times at Benning.  Rest well Ranger! Your buddy always….Gus

Great soldier.  Great leader of men, even as a young E-5. Pleasure to have served with him many decades ago. Sua Sponte.
