It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joyce Yvonne Tyler Hatfield. At 87, she transitioned into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, April 8, 2025.

Born in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Joyce was the child of Maybell Card Tyler and Lloyd Tyler. She was a long-time resident of Jacksonville, FL and a member of Westside Baptist Church for over 40 years. On April 30, 1956, she married the love of her life, William “Bill” Henry Hatfield. For 18 beautiful years, their love was a quiet, unwavering testament to devotion and partnership. On August 17, 1974, Bill went to be with the Lord. In the years that followed, Joyce found deep joy in the love of her daughter, the laughter of her grandchildren, and the companionship of dear friends. Her spirit radiated kindness, leaving a lasting glow in the lives she touched.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Hatfield; parents, Maybell and Lloyd Tyler; and siblings, Elaine Fox, Juanita Belland, Freddie Tyler, Janet Dopkins, Charles Tyler, Harvey Tyler, Sonja Kruger, Richard Tyler.

Her surviving family includes her daughter Kelly Goins and her three grandchildren: Justin Goins, Jeremy Goins, and Jenna Goins; her sister Nina Kent; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Celebration of life will be held at Westside Baptist Church, located at 7775 Herlong Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32210.
