Born in New York City on April 21, 1934, and raised in Cedarhurst, Long Island, Joyce celebrated life by always bringing joy, humor and happiness to all her knew her.
Joyce was married to her adoring husband, Sam Wexler, for 44 years. Together, they filled their lives with love, laughter, and devotion combining two families. She was the proud and loving mother of Pam, Erik, and Lesley, and endearing stepmother to Risa and Barbara. She was also a tender and caring grandmother to ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy.
A woman of deep faith, Joyce embraced her Jewish heritage and traditions, finding inspiration and meaning in the beliefs that guided her life. Her warmth and kindness extended to all she met, leaving a legacy of love and compassion.
Professionally, Joyce was an accomplished interior designer, celebrated for her ability to transform spaces into warm, inviting havens. Her artistic eye and passion for design left an indelible mark on every project she touched.
Joyce found peace and inspiration in nature. She had a lifelong love of animals, especially horses, and found great joy in horseback riding. Her fondness for dogs added another layer of love to her life.
