Joyce's obituary
Joyce Ward, a woman described by those who knew her best as warm, loving, kind, giving, and sweet, passed away on November 14, 2023. Born on September 14, 1931, Joyce lived a life full of service and love for her family, causes she cared deeply about, and her community.
Joyce dedicated her life to taking care of others. In 1955, she began working at Peniel Mission, a charity committed to providing assistance and care for those less fortunate. Her love and dedication to service did not stop there; Joyce went on to become a volunteer at Peniel Mission. She ran the mission for many years, a feat that is considered one of her greatest accomplishments. These acts of selflessness and devotion defined Joyce's life and contributed significantly to her legacy of kindness.
Despite her busy schedule, Joyce still found time to enjoy the simple pleasures in life. She was particularly fond of singing and mission work. Her voice brought joy to many, and her dedication to mission work mirrored her commitment to service and assistance for those in need.
Family was a cause close to Joyce's heart. She instilled in her four children the virtues of love, selflessness, and kindness. She is survived by her daughters, Sherry McKinney and Susan Ward, and her sons, Rod Ward and Jeff Ward. Her most cherished lesson to her children and to all who knew her was to always be kind.
Joyce's legacy is one of kindness and love. She taught us all to be kind to one another and showed us how to live selflessly and with love for our fellow man. Her passing is a great loss, but her spirit and teachings will continue to guide and inspire us in our daily lives. She will be missed dearly by her family and all who knew her.
