Born December 11, 1950 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Edward J. Barkovich and Marian T. Barkovich (nee Girdich).
Joyce was predeceased by her husband, Francis X. Thomas (05/03/2023); son, Francis X. Thomas III (07/08/2008); brother, Edward J. Barkovich, Jr. (05/21/1972), and parents.
She is survived by her sisters: Jean M. Stark (Kevin) and Joan M. M. Barkovich of Houston, Texas, and niece, Candice L. Stark of Magnolia, Texas.
Joyce was a 1968 graduate of Neshaminy High School in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, was a retired long-time employee of PECO Energy in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and avid golfer.
