Joyce Elizabeth May was born October 26th, 1942 in Anson, TX to Clifford and Irene Mitchell. She had two brothers, and two sisters. Joyce graduated from Anson High School before she married husband of 58 years, Charles May.

Joyce had a successful career and retired from 'Abilene Independent School District' while also assuming the roles of Wife, Mother, and Grandmother.
