Joyce Mae Henderson, age 74, of Richmond Virginia, passed peacefully on September 16th 2025. Joyce was born on October 21st 1950 in North Carolina to Clifford Weaver and Lelia Weaver.

Joyce married Edward Henderson on June 14th, 1968. They enjoyed many years of loving marriage and had two children (Ernie and Bonnie), before Edward departed this earth in 2005.

Joyce will be remembered for her passion for her family and helping others. Joyce was always able to light a room with her sense of humor and delightful personality.

Joyce was preceded in death by her devoted husband Edward Henderson, her parents, Clifford and Lelia Weaver, her son Ernie Henderson, and numerous sisters and brothers. Joyce is survived by her daughter Bonnie Zodun (Andrew), her granddaughter Faith Keithly (Mike), her grandsons Griffin Zodun (Dianna) and Grandon Brown, and her great grandchildren Mikayla, Arabelle, and Owen Jones. In addition, she is survived by her sister Nancy Baggett and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Joyce will occur on October 25th at 2pm at Fairmount United Methodist Church in Highland Springs Virginia.

In lieu of flowers the family ask you to make donations to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
