Joyce's obituary
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Mrs. Joyce Weinstein Gunther, who left us on November 27, 2024. Joyce was born on November 18, 1933, and her vibrant life embraced a span of 91 years, filled with love, warmth, and immense contributions to those around her.
She is survived by her loving daughters Patti Fellner, and Suzyn Gunther, her doting grandsons David Nemerow, Keith Nemerow, and Jason Nemerow. She also leaves behind her son-in-laws Mark Rosenzweig and Allan Fellner, her sister Phyllis Davis, her brother Benjy Weinstein, brothers-in-law Ted Davis and Todd Gunther, and sisters-in-law Margie Weinstein, Kathraine Gunther, and Eileen Locasha. Joyce was predeceased by her cherished husband, Richard “Dick” Gunther.
Joyce's personality was multifaceted, she was a guiding light as a mother, a doting Granny, and a dear friend to many. Her career was as diverse and fruitful as her personality. She lent her skills and care to the medical field as a phlebotomist, volunteered her time at the hospital guided people in their travels as a travel agent, and expressed her creativity as a sculptor and artist.
Known for her love for life, Joyce relished in the simple pleasures. She was a fan of Butterfingers, chocolate ice cream, and shakes. She also had a sweet tooth for cookies and enjoyed a glass of vodka. Joyce was an avid reader, a whiz at crossword puzzles, enjoyed skiing, and had an incurable wanderlust that led her to travel and explore. She enjoyed the Sewing club,Porsche club.and the tennis club.
A Burial service to honor Joyce's life will be held on December 16, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Shalom Memorial Park graveside,1700 n Rand rd ,Arlington Heights,Illinois.We invite you to remember and celebrate the fruitful and inspiring life of Joyce. We mourn her passing but celebrate the remarkable life she led and the positive impact she had on those who had the privilege of knowing her.
