Joyce's obituary
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Joyce Finlay (Keville), a well-loved and respected woman who was born on July 14, 1952. She passed away on January 2, 2026.
Joyce was the cherished mother of daughter, Shannon Finlay, and grandmother to Jayden Pipes. She is also survived by her ex-husband, Patrick Finlay, sister, Janice Keville, and a host of other relatives and friends. Joyce was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Timothy Keville, son, Jessie, and brothers, Gregory, Steve, and Kevin Keville.
Joyce, was born in Bathesda, Maryland at the naval base. Her father was in the navy stationed on submarines. They moved to a number of different states before moving to San Diego. She's a high school graduate. Joyce, Patrick, Shannon moved from San Diego, CA to Federal Way, WA in 2000. They later moved to Las Vegas, NV in 2002, where she began her career as a realtor for Century 21 Money World. In 2010, she graduated as a Medical Assistant from Las Vegas, NV. Joyce dedicated many years to her career before retiring in 2023.
Joyce embodied warmth, kindness, and fun. Her favourite pastimes included spending quality time with family and friends, watching football (Go Chargers!), getting her nails done, going out to eat, and visiting jazz bars. A fan of the Beatles and Huey Lewis and the News, Joyce also enjoyed a good game of Scrabble. She loved sushi, iced tea, Captain Morgan and Pepsi, and iced coffee from 7/11!
Her favourite TV shows included Sons of Anarchy, Tiny Homes, Revenge, General Hospital, and The Handmaid's Tale. Joyce was a fan of scary movies and supported the San Diego Chargers, San Diego Padres, and Vegas Golden Knights passionately. Her favourite colour was red and her special vacation spot was San Francisco, CA.
Joyce was a strong believer in the principle of treating others how you would want to be treated. Known for her strength, perseverance, and heart of gold, her greatest accomplishments included becoming a realtor, a mom, and a grandma. Her legacy of love and resilience will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew her.
Joyce's laughter and radiant smile will be deeply missed by family and friends. She was an extraordinarily strong woman, and we take comfort in knowing that she now rests in the arms of God, reunited with her family. We will always remember the joy she spread and the love she gave.
