Joyce's obituary

Joyce Everett, 81, passed away Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital. Private family graveside services are being held November 4 , 3:30 pm, at the Everett Family Cemetery. Joyce was born to Leo and Pearl McDonald Moss in Morgan City. She had been a lifelong resident of Leflore County. Joyce had worked as a rural mail carrier with the US Post Office, retiring after 35 years of service. She was a faithful member of Riverside Baptist Church where she played the piano and taught Sunday School. She loved teaching piano lessons and assisting the choir at the University of Mississippi. She enjoyed gardening, growing flowers and watching the Atlanta Braves.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Peggy Ann Moss, and her husband James Troy Everett. Survivors include four daughters, Brenda McCoun (Carroll) of Enid,Tina Carr (Greg) of Sunnyside, Penny Kesterson (Wayne) of Money, Peggy Jeffords (George) of Money; three brothers, Wayne Moss (Babs) of Franklin, TN, Larry Moss (Barbara) of Germantown, TN, Ronnie Moss (LaDonna) of Greenwood; 9 grandchildren, Angie Taylor, Laura Seymore, Amanda Doty, Scott Smith, Natalie Smith, Ginger Caldero, David Kesterson, Ashley Gross, Maggie Utz; and 13 great-grandchildren, Jordan Taylor, Cody Ingram, Anna Perkins, Kimberly McKinney, Clint Cook, Abby Cook, Addison Smith, Parker Smith, Julia Smith, Sterlynn Luna, James Luke Childers, Jacob Caldero and Thomas Gross.

Her grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
