It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Joyce Emerson (Odle), who left us on July 8, 2023. Born in 1960, Joyce's spirit, resilience, and unwavering love left a deep impression on all who had the privilege to know her.

Joyce was a cherished mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She is survived by her daughter, Angela Waddell, son-in-law, Brad Waddell, her son, Brian Smothers, and daughter-in-law, Curry Smothers. Joyce was the adoring grandmother to Hannah, McKayla, Caitlyn and Elijah Waddell, whom she treasured dearly. She is also survived by her sister, Judy Kellum, and her brother, Johnny Odle. 

She rejoins her parents, Gene Odle and Barbara Richter, and her brother Tommy Odle, who predeceased her. Their memory was a beacon of love and perseverance in Joyce's life.

The essence of Joyce's life sparkled through her determination, her infectious laughter, and the unshakable love she had for her family. Her legacy is carried forward through the lives of her beloved children and grandchildren. Her memory will forever remain a source of strength, comfort, and inspiration for them.

Our hearts are heavy, but we take solace in knowing that Joyce's life was filled with love and joy, and her spirit will continue to live on in those she has left behind.
