Joyce Bassimakopoulos 60, passed away on December 4, 2021. Born in Melrose MN to Donatus and Anna Dumont of Freeport. Joyce graduated from Melrose High school and, went on to Saint Cloud Model College. She graduated with her managerial cosmetology license and moved to the East Coast. This amazing woman sought out adventure in every stage of her life. Joyce moved to Pleasantville, NJ, and worked at the Unisex Beauty Salon. She did hair as well as interviewed and hired new employees. In 1985 she started managing at Colonial Diner and met Anastasios (Takkie). They later they married at the Chapel of the fountain in Las Vegas. In 1989 Joyce had her one and only daughter Marianna, who was her most prized possession. They moved to Avon, MN in 1993, where Joyce lived as a mother and homemaker. She had a few other jobs along the way, but her favorite part of life was being a mother. In 2018 she bought a house with her daughter; welcomed her new granddaughter Chloe and made friends with Chloe's father Hector.

Joyce had the soul of a warrior and will be remembered for her perseverance. love, and kindness.
