Joy Lawrence Obituary
Joy Lawrence was born Joy Ann Schaefer to Larry Joy “Jerry” Schaefer and Louise Ann (Korn-Turner) Schaefer on March 20, 1944 in the Sterling, Colorado hospital.
She grew up in a one room schoolhouse converted to a two bedroom home by Jerry, on a farm southeast of Haxtun, Colorado. She attended a country school between the farm and Haxtun through elementary and “junior high” school and then Haxtun High School to earn …
