Joy Deane Chace (“Joy”) was born in Fall River, Massachusetts to Robert and Mabel Deane on Saint Patrick’s Day in 1933. She spent her childhood and formative years on Seaview Avenue in Touisset (Swansea), Massachusetts, along with her parents and her brother, Bobby Deane, where she was an avid sailor of “Beetle Boats” on Narragansett Bay. Joy graduated from Case High School, where she served as Captain of the Cheerleading Squad during her Senior Year, …
