Josh's obituary
Joshua Bentley Williamson passed away unexpectedly on March 21st, 2025, in his teenage home in Poulsbo. He had 35 meaningful years surrounded by people who loved him. The cause of death is not yet known.
Josh was born in Seattle, Washington where he lived the first few years of his life. The family settled in Poulsbo, where he spent most of his childhood. He eventually moved to Bainbridge where he lived for almost a decade.
If you knew Josh, you knew of his love for photography, playing video games for hours with his friends, a scenic road trip, overindulging on dairy (as a lactose intolerant person…), binging New Girl and quoting Schmidt endlessly, riding his motorcycle around Kitsap County on a clear day, Irish goodbyes, and traveling (as long as there were cheeseburgers or french fries available). He loved being a dog uncle, and was a cat dad to Augie for many years. He spent years being an EMT where he played so many card games that he was able to rival his mom with her top scores. He was most recently a City of Poulsbo employee for the last three years. Josh’s laugh was contagious and he could throw down some mean dance moves if the moment called for it. He had an incredibly generous and kind heart, which will be missed immensely.
There were many things that brought Josh happiness, his family and friends being at the top of that list. Josh is survived by his dad Nick Williamson, sister Becca Williams and brother-in-law Joseph Williams, and countless extended family that he cherished. He is joining his favorite person in the world, his mom Denise Williamson.
A memorial for Josh is being worked on.. The date and location is yet to be determined, and further details will be shared as they become available.
In loving memory,
Joshua Bentley Williamson
