Joshua "Viktoria/Vi"'s obituary

Joshua Daniel Jordan, also known as Viktoria or "Vi", passed away unexpectedly at the age of 21 on Friday, September 10th, 2021, in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Born September 29, 1999, to Vincent Thomas and Melinda Carol (Gray) Jordan in Longmont, Co., carried so much promise inside, attended Rocky Mountain Christian Academy and Altona Middle School, competed in track, and won Raptor Awards in Science and Linguistics. Before graduating from Silver Creek High School in 2018, Vi joined Aletheia International Ministries on a mission trip to South Africa where they gathered food and supplies for local orphanages. Next was the University of Colorado in Boulder where they studied Astrophysics and English. Upon turning 18, Vi began donating plasma and registered as an organ and tissue donor which included donating life-saving stem cells and bone marrow as a sophomore.

Anyone who knew this bright spirit knew all about their immense passion for Astronomy, History, Science, Music, Human, Civil and Animal rights. An avid environmentalist with an uncanny sense of humor and a desire for adventure, travel, exploration, flying, sky diving, and bungee jumping is now a bright star shining in our beautiful sky. This Viking Warrior was set to make an impact and a difference in the world which makes their sudden passing heartbreaking, tragic and hard to accept.

Survivors to carry on without their intelligence and humor are parents Melinda Jordan of Longmont, Co, and Vincent Jordan of Ft. Meyers, Florida; Partner Schuyler “Skyy” Delcastillo of New Mexico; Grandfather Edward H. Gray of Longmont, Co; siblings Apryl Jordan of Longmont, Co, Josiah Jordan of Wellington, NZ, Jeremiah (Lindsay) Jordan of Kalispell, MT, Vinny Jordan of Jackson, MS, and Rachel (Michael Bezzina) Jordan of Brighton, Co; Nieces Lua and Ember, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and so many wonderful friends.

Our beloved adventurer was no doubt met with open arms by Grandmother June Gray, sister-in-law Amber Jordan, and nephew Eli Jordan as well as two unborn siblings, Grandparents Buck and Hope Jordan.

Please join us for a gathering of family and friends on Vi’s birthday, Wednesday, September 29th at Flanders Park (McIntosh Lake) 2115 North Shore Drive, Longmont, from 6pm through the setting of the Sun.

Causes Vi would encourage your support of include bethematch.org and stopline3.org.
