Joshua's obituary

PLEASE use this space to share memories♡

With great sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved son, grandson, brother, dad, veteran, and great friend, Joshua “Josh” Duane Snider. Josh was born on July 2, 1999 and passed away unexpectedly on March 16, 2025. He graduated from West Valley High School in 2017. Josh was a proud member of the 659th Engineer Construction Company Family so shortly after graduation he left Spokane for boot camp and AIT in Ft. Leonard Wood, MO. He also completed a tour of active duty in the Middle East. Josh was a SSG E6 with the 751 Engineer Detachment (Concrete) based at Fairchild AFB, WA. Upon returning from the Middle East he worked at Auto Nation and Findlay Honda. The past year, Josh was a mechanic for Rogers Machinery.  At Rogers Machinery, he traveled throughout the Pacific Northwest while often sharing his work accomplishments proudly with family. He volunteered to work extra hours at Rogers Machinery and often shared his determination to advance within the military, which reflected his incredible work ethic. Josh brought a lot of laughter to those around him and his love for his “homies” was always prevalent. Josh was detail oriented, an intentional friend, and a dedicated father.  Josh was preceded in death by his grandfather, Duane Snider. He leaves behind his daughter Mayah, girlfriend Megan, parents Kevin Snider and Jody (Knott) Rose (Jon), siblings J’me (Nick) and Jeff, grandparents Frank and Rosie Knott, Geri Knott (Loren), Maureen Snider, along with nephew Alixzander and niece Kinnedy. He also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and a large Army community from years of devoted service.  Josh’s service will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025, at 9:00 AM at the Washington State Veterans Cemetery, 21702 W Espanola Rd, Medical Lake, WA 99022. The Cemetery has asked that guests arrive by 8:45

SR – 2 Highway, Airway Heights, WA 99001. The family would like to express their gratitude for the outpouring of support and prayers since Josh’s passing.
