This memorial was created in honor of Joshua Thomas Schlesinger of Tempe, Arizona. 

Josh was born on April 22, 1977, in Kankakee, IL. He grew up in Bourbonnais, Illinois, and went to Bradley Bourbonnais High School where he excelled in swimming and golf. Josh went on to swim at Northeastern Illinois University.

Josh's giggle could light up the room.  He was fun, caring, loyal, and hardworking and he loved helping others.  He spent his career in hospitality, always looking to wow his guests. Josh loved cooking out with friends, dinner with loved ones, going to ball games, and taking last minute vacations. Uncle Joshie never missed a chance to spoil his nieces.  

Joshua passed away on May 4, 2024, at Friendship Village in Tempe, Arizona. Despite our grief, we take comfort in knowing that Josh lived a full and meaningful life.  

He is survived by his mother Candy, father Tom, brother Erik, nieces Kate and Avery, Grandma Dottie, his uncle, aunts, and all of his chosen family.  

Josh's memory will be forever cherished by all that knew him.  He will be dearly missed by all of his friends and family.
