Joshua's obituary
Joshua Jordan Medina, 34, of Pueblo, Colorado went to be with the Lord on December 19th, 2025. He was born on April 13th, 1991, to parents, Christopher and Sherry McCary.
Joshua grew up on the east side of Pueblo, among his younger siblings Anisia and Justice McCary. Growing up, he attended church at Victory Outreach Pueblo and went to school at Dolores Huerta Preparatory High (DHPH). Joshua was an extremely intelligent young man and went on to further his education at Colorado State University - Pueblo (CSUP). He achieved his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, on December 13th, 2019.
Joshua will be remembered as a kind, hard-working and helpful young man. As a young adult, he had a deep passion for skateboarding and drawing. As he grew, he enjoyed nature, gardening, fishing, survival shows and he absolutely adored his dog, Walker. Joshua was known for being an apt learner with high intellectualism. His resourceful and analytical thinking led him to solve any problem that life might throw at him.
Possessing not only a brilliant mind, but an affectionate heart, Joshua would be described as a loving son, loyal older brother, dedicated grandson and devoted friend. His steadfast personality gave rise to many being truly impacted by his life.
Above all, Joshua’s true love and joy came from his faith in God. He placed much value on prayer and reading the Bible. His everyday prayer consisted of asking the Lord for strength to keep the faith in every situation, clarity in every decision, and the refinement of his character for the betterment of himself and those around him. His relationship with the Lord reflected his compassionate acts, servant’s heart and faithfulness to his tasks.
Joshua is survived by his loving parents, Christopher and Sherry McCary; his siblings, Anisia and Justice McCary; his grandparents, Gilbert and Candeleria Medina; and godparents, Dan Medina and Denise Maldonado. He is also survived by many uncles, aunts, cousins, close friends and church members who loved him very much. He will be deeply missed.
