Joshua's obituary
Joshua Glenn Hake, aged 36, passed away on March 3, 2024, in Puyallup, Washington. Born on August 22, 1987, Joshua grew into a man known for his intelligence, wit, compassion, and generosity. He was a beloved husband to his high school sweetheart, Melissa Hake, with whom he shared 20 years of love and companionship.
Joshua's academic journey included his time at Mount Si High School, followed by further education at Bellevue College. Professionally, he dedicated his career to IT services, where he excelled and eventually rose to the position of Senior Network Engineer. His knack for problem-solving and his desire to assist others marked his professional and personal life.
A self-taught craftsman, Joshua had a passion for working with his hands, whether it was welding, servicing vehicles and motorcycles, or maintaining his home. One of his cherished projects was the prospect of restoring his 1966 Mustang. He also had a deep affection for vintage video games, collecting and playing relics from his childhood. He would spend every Thursday with his closest friends playing Dungeons and Dragons, using his mix of wit and imagination to weave dazzling storylines together.
Joshua is survived by his wife, Melissa; his mother, Tammy Hudson, and stepfather, Ken Hudson; his father, Rex Hake, and stepmother, Debbie Hake; his paternal grandfather, Dayton Hake; his maternal grandmother, Marilyn Rauch; his sister, Brittany Romero; step-siblings Kayli Eacrett, Whitney Kauzlarich, Joe Hudson, and Kristina Hudson; along with 9 nieces and nephews, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Michael Rauch, and paternal grandmother, Shirley Hake.
While a service has not yet been planned, a celebration of Joshua's life will be planned in the future. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Heart Foundation in his memory. Joshua's legacy of love, laughter, and the ability to fix nearly anything will be deeply missed and forever cherished by those who knew him.
