August 2, 2022

Knowing his heart was no longer beating, broke my soul into a million pieces.

A connection so strong that even in death, my soul still struggles to take each breath.

He has an army that I pray he knew, would stop at nothing to see him through.

We would find him no matter what, there was never an option of giving up.

Josh was taken from us way too soon by the hands of another.

Our lives will never be the same.

Josh had the best heart of anybody youโ€™ll ever meet.

Even during his toughest times in his life, Josh always pushed to do better.

Josh lived his life to the fullest and always had fun wherever his adventures took him.

Josh found his love of fishing at 5 years old. Putting a pole in his hand was the only time youโ€™d ever see him sit still and be somewhat quiet. I still think his biggest catch was the duck he hooked at around 6-7 years old. He patiently reeled that dumb duck all the way in, being careful not to hurt it.

That was Joshโ€™s heart.

Throughout his life Josh pretty much loved anything outdoors;

fishing, camping, dirt bikes, hiking, baseball, go carts, skiing and even skydiving.

Josh always said his favorite years were the 5 years he spent in Cub Scouts Pack 90.

For us, Scouts was a family activity and Josh loved every moment of it.

Even though they didnโ€™t last forever, Josh knew he had found โ€œhis loveโ€ in Adrienne Barkley.

There was another love that filled his heart so full it forced tears down his face, Skyler is that love.

Skyler is his biggest gift in life & every moment with her, were his best moments in life.

Our family is forever grateful that he left us a piece of him, the piece he loved most of all.
