Joshua T. Brunson, 72, of Anderson, passed away July 01, 2022 at his residence after an extended illness. He was born October 6, 1949, the son of Thomas and Jennifer Brunson in Seattle, Washington and resided in Anderson for past 45 years. In 2003, he retired from Guide after 32 years of service. John was a member of Memorial Circle Wesleyan Church, Middletown Masonic Lodge #271 and served in the U.S. Navy. He is survived by his wife, Sondra Brunson of Anderson; son Todd (wife, Renee) Brunson of Middletown, daughter, Holly Million (companion, Ihssan Elhaouari) of Noblesville, and step son, Herschell (wife, Barbara) Brunson of Greenfield; nine grandchildren, Sondra Brunson, Joshua Brunson, Amanda Mandeville, John Jackson, Brittany Brunson, Cody Brunson, Dylan Brunson, Hanna Brunson and Zahra Elhaouari; and one great granddaughter, Marlee Brunson; six brothers and sisters, Rudy Brunson of Garbaldi, OR, Corky Jenson of Hillsboro, OR, Patrick Brunson of Portland, OR, Katie Cross of Springfield, OR, Bill Brunson of Anchorage, AK and Jason Brunson of Portland, OR., special aunt, Betsy Struller of Salem, OR. and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, step daughter, Teresa Sue Dick and brother, Mike Brunson. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Memorial Circle Wesleyan Church with Rev. Clifton Ashlock officiating. Burial will be in McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson where military graveside rites will be conducted by V.F.W. Post 266 Honor Guard. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church. A Masonic Memorial Service will be 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
