Joshua Brandon Alinger, born February 21, 1991, passed away on April 6, 2025 in Chicago, Illinois.

An ER Resident at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Joshua received his undergraduate education at Oregon State University, and received a Doctor of Medicine and PhD in Medical Sciences from Washington University School of Medicine.

Joshua is greatly loved and will be greatly missed by his family, friends and colleagues. We will remember him for his compassion, humor, friendship and humanity. We will all miss his wry smile, his acerbic wit and above all, his dedication to making a difference in the lives of his community by caring for them in their moments of greatest need.

Joshua’s family and friends ask you to wish Joshua well on his journey, and to honor him with acts of generosity and kindness to each other.
