When I moved to Big Sky all alone, just my dog and I, Josh and Rosie quickly took us under their wing to show us all of the best places! We had many many dinners, and play dates with the dogs.  For a long time, they were our only friends  ♥️🥺

We lost touch when I moved back to Tennessee, and I just found out about his passing, and this hurts my heart to hear.

I’ve been thinking a million things about what happened to my baby cousin. It’s a hard pill to swallow since he was so full of life.

I can only reiterate from what I know that if you know someone who struggles please help and be there for them and know their friends.  Time is of the essence.

I love you so much josh. I miss you so terribly already. I can smile because I know you are looking down at me and helping me push forward. She got mom in your arms, with Mimi and Papa on each side. I love you

Josh,

I will miss you terribly everyday until we can embrace again in heaven. I was thinking about how you used to love to scare the crap out of me on Christmas mornings. You were able to do it for a couple years in a row, since I don’t like to get up early. You would run and jump on my bed screaming “merry Christmas”. I secretly loved it because I knew you were as excited as I was to run down the stairs waking up mom and dad to open at least one present before they even had coffee. I love you brother forever and always. I bought a little coin that I can keep on me at all times. One side says brother and the other side says A piece of my heart lives in heaven. I will cherish it everyday. I just hope that it lasts because it was from Amazon but I saw it and I loved it because it’s so little and doesn’t take up any space.

Love you brother until we meet again

Josh always was so good natured. Soft spoken. His heart was all family,  his friends and Rosie, his beloved dog.  Lived life to the fullest. We’ll miss that big smile on his face. Rest now Josh. Miss you.❤️

My note to Josh:

Joshie,

I cannot even believe you’re gone. You’re not a phone call away anymore. I don’t get to hear your stories about Rosie and work and what you’ve been up to. We lost touch for a while but you and I were both the same knowing family will always be there.  I was looking forward to my trip to see you and hang out with you at The Armory listening to the local bands you loved so much next month.

To recall my childhood living with you and JP and your Mom and Dad, we had a lot of fun. Watching Howard the Duck over and over, having Market Day French toast sticks made by my Aunt Birdie - minus the butter because you ate it all!

I’m so grateful for the recent years we talked and the funniest lunch I’ve had in a long time, thanks to your stories and Uncle Jess’. I was looking forward to many more of those.

I cry because you were so young, I cry because I just heard your voice last week, I cry because I ask myself no matter the circumstances why does this happen to the ones who are loved so much, to someone so young, to someone I loved.

It’s going to take a long time for me to wrap my head around the fact that you’re gone. Thanks for sending all your photos and videos of your adventures and when Rosie had the zoomies! I’ll always smile looking at those.

I love you my baby cousin. Tell Mimi and Papa how much we all miss them, you know, we’ve talked about it many times.

You were so shy when you were little but as you got older that smile got larger and it lit up a room. Keep that smile cuz.

I love you with all of my heart.

XOXO,

Jenny
