As a former Gafcon employee, with all due respect to Pam and Gaf, Josh was my favorite Gaffen.

I didn't know Josh well as I am a generation older -but I recall him as a young boy working out with his Dad, Gaf, at Frog's in Solana Beach -met him again as his Dad started a Sharepoint business and had Josh lead the business unit -then talking to Gaf about fishing and hunting and his stories about taking Josh with him -I didn't always agree with Gaf in business but admired him as a great Dad for keeping his son. Josh at his side in work, play and life in general -The Maxwell Family sends our sincerest condolences to the Gaffen family for their terrible loss -God Bless!

It is with deep sadness that I am posting my condolences for the passing of an amazing human being that I got to know since 1995. Josh, the happy kid, became a fine, kind, gentle man. I remember his fondness for South African curry which I regularly prepared for him at the Del Mar and Ranch Santa Fe residences. He always wanted it “hot and spicy”. I remember his love for his iguana and taking him to the store to get kale. Then he got his first bulldog. The two were inseparable, quiet, strong, grounded, authentic.
Josh the world needs more people like you. Where you stood, there is an emptiness. You were loved and will be missed.
Let these memories of you carry us, and in particular you mom, dad, Shayna and Clifford through this very dark times. My deepest symphony for your loss. I pray that peace and strength will surround you.
Love
Nico
