Jodie's zest for life was contagious. She was always up for an adventure, traveling the globe, or hosting lively gatherings with family and friends. A true citizen of the world, she developed a love of travel early on, living in Singapore and Switzerland as a child. Fluent in three languages, Jodie explored every corner of the world with boundless curiosity and enthusiasm.
Jodie’s early accomplishments set the stage for her success and impact later in life. She graduated from the International School of Geneva, excelling academically and with her extracurricular interests, which included basketball, skiing, and piano. She was also a proud recipient of the highest award from the Girl Scouts of America, the Gold Award. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in French from Bryn Mawr College, and went on to complete her MBA in Marketing at the University of Washington's Foster School of Business.
Her career in tech marketing took her to great heights, and she made a lasting impact on everyone she worked with. Jodie held leadership roles at Intuit, Microsoft, Softcard, and Appen, and most recently served as Vice President of Marketing at LXT. Beyond her professional achievements, it was her vibrant spirit, generosity, and love of connecting with others that made her truly unforgettable.
Jodie was a devoted mother, wife, daughter, and friend who balanced her successful career with a deep commitment to her family. She was actively involved in her daughters’ activities, from 4-H to Music Works Northwest, and was a dedicated member of her church community.
Jodie is survived by her loving husband, Robert Ruby, and their cherished daughters, Lauren and Sarah Ruby. She is also remembered by her devoted parents, Gwen and Dennis Raney, and her brothers, Robert Raney (Janelle) and Michael Raney (Rebecca), along with her nephews Christopher and Jack, niece Scarlett, and her in-laws, John and Dede Ruby. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Stephanie Ruby (Derek Eletich), their sons Nick and Alex, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.
Jodie’s joyful presence, adventurous spirit, and unwavering love for her family and friends will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
