I just learned of Jodie's passing. My sincerest condolences to the Raney and Ruby families.

Our family went on a trip to Europe this summer! It reminded me of the last time I saw Jodie which was in Geneva. Our Europe brought back a lot of great memories that we had from last year. When we were at Saint Patrick's church we lit a candle for Jodie and wrote a note for the memory tree! Everyday I miss Jodie! Life is precious!

Jodie, I was so shocked and heartbroken when I found out you passed away. I have so many good memories of us just laughing hysterically, being silly and dancing. I remember the long talks we had until the sun came up. Even though it had been a long time since we saw one another, I thought of you often - especially when our song from "Up All Night" came on. I was glad we were able to communicate through FB to at least feel like we were connected. You are and will be terribly missed.

I hired Jodie at G2. Later I would see her at Bellevue High School choir performances where our kids both performed. She always exuded such positive energy and I loved the wry sense of humor that sometimes slipped out at the office (always in good taste!).
She reached out with comforting words four years ago when my wife died of cancer. I always remembered that.
This is so tragic. I feel like we've lost a bright light in the community when we needed one most. My deep condolences to her beautiful family.

I am so very sorry to have learned about losing Jodie -- I will always remember her as spunky and passionate and super interesting and fun. I mostly saw her at grade school happenings, or mom gatherings, always bringing the festive spirit! In response to pictures of my family at the Gorge seeing the Dead and Company, Jodie posted just these words, a song title: "Eyes of the World" -- one of my favorites, and that song pick told me she was a deep thinker and an incredible soul. My sincere condolences and prayers for comfort for the family, friends, and all those hurting and healing from this loss. Jodie--we miss you, and are thinking of you and all the pizzazz you brought to us in this world. xoxo

I was very sad to hear of Jodie's passing. I hired her at Appen. She was smart and thorough, and cared deeply about her work and her colleagues. She was a joy to work with and fun to hang out with. I have a fond memory with her of visiting Universal Studios to tape a promotion. We got lost walking around the back lots but had fun waving at tourists who thought we were in show business. My deepest sympathies to her family and friends.

I feel incredibly lucky that after working with Jodie for a few years at Appen, I had the opportunity to do so again at LXT. When I first began working with Jodie she was a mentor, whose dedication and enthusiasm was extremely inspiring. But over the years, especially when I also became a mother myself, she became a true friend. I treasure all the advice and support she has given me, and will always remember it. I know that I am far from the only one whose life she had such a big impact on. I have never known anyone to make friends as quickly as Jodie. When I was at a conference with her, I would just tag along while she made friends with everyone. Competitors, clients, staff - you name it.
But above all, Jodie loved talking about her travels, her friends, and especially her family. She had so many plans for the future, and I am heartbroken for you that this will now be changed forever. My thoughts are with you all.

Jodie supported our La Trobe University Linguistics student intern with such grace and compassion, including through personally challenging times for this student. Jodie would come to our intern meetings whenever she could, even though she must have had so little time to spare around her busy work and life schedules. I'm so grateful for Jodie's having been present in our lives and for her care.

I met Jodie during my first week of college, she was one of the cool sophomores on my floor. Although we did not keep in touch after college, I think of our time hanging out in college, fondly. We reconnected briefly when our daughters were thinking about and applying to college. Sending condolences.

Jodie had a significant impact during her time at Appen. She was a wonderful colleague, cared deeply about her work, and built deep and lasting relationships. On behalf of all of Appen, including present and past employees, we pass on our heartfelt condolences.

Jodie embodied the qualities that make us human - warmth, kindness, compassion, courage, resilience, creativity, imagination, integrity, empathy, intuition, passion, enthusiasm, honesty, self awareness, and a generosity of spirit that allowed her to see the good in others even at the most difficult of times. In the workplace, Jodie led by example - she drove her colleagues hard, but never expected anything from others that she wouldn’t expect of herself. In celebrating success she would give the credit to others, and in difficult times she would never allow anyone else to carry blame. As probably the most outgoing person I ever met, I watched her make friends wherever she went. In just a few minutes standing in line to check into a hotel, for example, I would see her engage with the people around her, learning their story and offering them assistance. I have so many beautiful and often funny memories of Jodie - from Hunter Valley vineyards, to the pyramids of Giza, to watching her try to convince an autograph hunter that she wasn’t actually Elisabeth Moss (in the end, she didn’t actually convince him - he said, “I get it - you’re incognito. But I KNOW you really are Elisabeth Moss!”).
Jodie was a tireless campaigner for women’s rights - she established the LXT Women in Technology Group, and she led LXT’s sponsorship of events for young women in technology - this was a passion. But Jodie’s other great passion - her greatest passion - was her family. To hear her talk about Rob, Lauren and Sarah was to know the real Jodie - in those moments, her love and excitement for the future was overwhelming. Dear Jodie, we are all heartbroken to lose a most dear friend, and the world is greatly diminished without you.

So incredibly sad hearing the news of Jodie's passing. We had been in regular communication in recent months, our last text exchange was on Sept 30. Frankly, I'm still in shock and at a loss for the right words.
I worked closely with Jodie for 3+ years and stayed in close touch. She was an incredible person! Smart, witty, warm, present, authentic, energetic, supportive and at times sassy. My heart goes out to her husband and 2 daughters. She will be dearly missed by so many, especially me. RIP Jodie

I worked with Jodie at Appen and attended marketing booths with her in NY and Montreal and sales meetings in Las Vegas and NY. She was a pleasure to work with. Very professional, a nice human being and certainly appreciated her interest in different foods. My condolences to the entire family. I am very sad to hear this. Steve Woodard
