Jojo's obituary

Josephine Blanchard Obituary

Josephine Blanchard, lovingly known as “Jojo,” passed away on April 25, 2026, at the age of 93.

She was born on May 10, 1932, and lived a long life marked by love, strength, and deep devotion to her family. Josephine was a spunky, caring, and strong-willed woman who left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

She was the heart of her family—a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished relative who led with humor, honesty, and unconditional love. Her signature phrase, “I love you back,” will be forever remembered by those closest to her.

Josephine was predeceased by her parents, Miles and Nellie Nixon; her sisters Nancy Lindsay, Flora Goffe, and Dorothy Wall; and her brother Miles Nixon.

She is survived by her children, Renee Goodman, Isaac Blanchard, and Doreen Williams; her grandchildren Tanya Gilbert, Cori McLee, Yolanda Jones, Larry Goodman, and Robert Williams; as well as eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a large extended family of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In accordance with her wishes, Josephine generously dedicated her body to science. No formal services will be held.

Her family finds comfort in knowing her legacy lives on through the generations she helped shape and the love she gave so freely.
