Joseph Pearse Wisdom, at the young age of 29 years old, passed away on February 6th, 2026. Born on May 7th 1996, in Orange, California to parents Lorna Wisdom and Mike Cross. Joey was known for his humor, his kindness, and his love for animals and his family. He was a beloved brother to Tara, Mikey, and Eamon and a cherished friend to many.

Joey graduated from Santa Monica High School and worked in the service industry. He was a hard worker, who made customers laugh, and shined in the kitchen.

Joey was passionate about anything he set his mind to, especially with cooking, being active, and making others happy. He loved to learn and read, constantly trying new things. He enjoyed learning and speaking Spanish, traveling and exploring the world. He loved to tell stories, and to listen to music and sing along. He loved the outdoors, spending a lot of time going on hikes and camping. He loved to cook for others, and to crack jokes and play pranks.

He could make anyone smile and laugh, even when he was in pain. Joey truly had the biggest heart. Some may know that Joey battled the disease of addiction, while his journey was not easy, those that knew him could see his resilience and joy for life.

Joey was so excited to be a father, he had talked about wanting to have kids for a long time. His son will be born in April of 2026 this year.

He was preceded in death by Lorna, his mom. He is survived by his siblings, Tara, Mikey and Eamon. As well as his father, Mike, and the mother of his son Maria Pacheco. We will remember him for his love, his laughter, and the light he brought into our lives.

A celebration of life will be held at Good Shepherd Cemetery on March 5th,2026 at 11am.
