Joseph P. Vaughan, 92, of Twin Mountain, NH passed away on May 10th, 2024 surrounded by his family.

Joseph was born on 2/24/1932 to parents, Michael Vaughan and Marie (Dunleavy) Vaughan, who immigrated from Ireland. He grew up in Somerville, Mass with 5 brothers and 2 sisters.

After graduating Malden Catholic High school, he went on to get a business degree at Northeastern University. He became a stockbroker at Paine Webber and earned his way to the role of Vice President of Investments.

As a teenager, he spent summers working as a caddy at the Mt. Washington Hotel where he worked his way up to caddy master. In summer, at age 15, he met Marlene Minor of Twin Mountain at the "Dream World" roller skating rink. After dating for 10 years, they got married in New York city in 1957. They were happily married for 66 years and had three children: Joan, Joey, and Marianne.

Joseph was an avid golfer throughout his life, highlighted with 3 "hole's in 1" and at age 81, shot his age. In his older age, Joseph loved sitting on his porch, admiring nature, and writing letters and poems. "God is good", he would often write. One of the proudest moments in his life was being called "grandpa" for the first time, he said. He loved his family more than anything.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, all of his siblings; Mary, John, George, Tom, Frank, Lawrence, and Betty, and his beloved grandson; Dillon Schultz.
