Joseph Tolar, a man admired for his witty humor, intellectual prowess, and warm heart, passed away on July 22, 2023. He celebrated his 85th birthday on November 22, 1937, marking a life brimming with love, laughter, and wisdom.
Joseph is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Marta Tolar, whom he married in 1963. Their bond of friendship and partnership gifted them with three daughters, Nancy Roditis, Suzanne Wiles, and Laura Tolar. These strong women remain pillars of strength, embodying Joseph's legacy in the way they navigate life. Joseph proudly served in the United States Army for over 20 years and bravely completed two tours of duty in Vietnam. Joseph later retired from the U.S. Post Office after a dedicated 30 years of service.
Joseph's warm spirit touched not only his daughters but also his grandchildren, Olivia Lozada, Ashley Zubrin, and Roman Branch. His influence will continue to shine through their achievements, aspirations, and journey through life. He is also survived by his brother, Bob Tolar, underscoring a bond of brotherhood marked by years of shared experiences and cherished memories.
On August 6, 2023, at 12:00- 5:00PM, Harmony Haven Events (6320 U.S. 98 Bartow, FL 33830) will be the venue for the Celebration of Life for Joseph. This occasion serves as a testament to his legacy - an incredible family and a group of friends who shared in his joy, wisdom, and laughter.
Joseph's life was marked by wit, humor, and an intellect that made him the center of many captivating conversations. His laughter was infectious, his advice insightful, and his presence comforting.
