Joseph's obituary

We regretfully announce the passing of Joseph Therrien, 70, of Maidstone, VT.   Joe passed away on January 5, 2023 after a brief illness.

Joseph was born to Yvonne (Martell) and Raymond Therrien on April 5, 1952.   An independent and vibrant personality from the beginning, Joe was an only child raised in Burlington Vermont. He worked for many years at Henry's Market in Burlington until his employment at IBM in Essex Junction Vermont.    Joe retired from IBM after over thirty years in primarily the Quality organization where he perfected his skills as a scanning electronic microscope specialist. During those years Joe was a resident of Milton Vermont and owned at camp at Maidstone.  In 2012 Joe fulfilled his dream moving permanently to Maidstone Lake.

Joe was very active and enjoyed a list of hobbies.  He loved fast cars, motorcycles, snow machines and prided himself on living on the edge.  He enjoyed his annual visit to Maine to eat lobster, his multiple visits with the boys at Maidstone especially during hunting season, shooting guns, good food and beverages.

Joe was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by many cousins and very dear friends too numerous to mention.

While we would love to hold a memorial service in Joe’s name, he specifically requested no services take place. If you’d like to honor his legacy, please make a donation to the in Muscular Dystrophy Association in Joe's name.
