Joe passed
away at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, LA on December 23, 2020 at the
age of 60. Joe was Native to Louisiana and born in Natchitoches, he was of
Episcopal faith and was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Morgan City,
LA.

Joe retired
as a Project Manager in the Oil Field Industry where he had worked for over 40
years. Joe was an avid coin and stamp collector, he loved his bomb fires and
enjoyed cooking,  but his passion was
fishing and he loved the water, weather if it was catching a big bull red, shrimping
or running jug lines, Joe was on the water.

Joe was
survived in death by his 2 sons Joseph Sobers and Dustin Sobers of Morgan City
Louisiana and Grandson Nicolas Sobers also of Morgan City.  Brother Eric Sobers of Canton, GA. Sister
Elizabeth Newman of Savannah, GA. Sister Emma Harris of Lewiston MA. Sister Doris
(Elyse) Sobers of Villa Rica, GA ,Sister Karen Farmer of Morganton Ga and Sister Edith Sobers of Griffin GA, and
several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.

Joe was
preceded in death by both parents Dr. Edward K Sobers and Catherine W. Sobers, and sister Ellen Ring and sister Betty Carole Crawley.

Per Joe’s
request he was cremated and a private ceremony was held by the water…
