Joseph "Popsicle" Pospisil, 74, of Santa Maria, CA, passed away on September 22, 2023 after dealing with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease)

Joseph was born on April 10th, 1949 to Joseph and Audrey in Ventura. After graduating from Righetti High School in 1967 he attended Cal Poly for a short time.  Then in 1968 he met Kathy Myers at the Kingdom Hall in Santa Maria, California. 11 months later they wed on February 1st, 1969. Joe and Kathy had 2 daughters, Jennifer and Stephanie.


Joseph was a force of nature and loved nature.  His family meant more to him than anything else in the world besides his love of Jehovah God, something he often mentioned. Joseph was renowned for his passion of Jaguars, and living in the fast lane. He could often be found extending himself in many ways, sharing his knowledge of his profession, the  Bible and establishing inclusivity among the deaf and hearing members of the community. Anyone who knew Joe, knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for. 

Joe is survived by his wife Kathy, his two daughters, sons in law and four grandchildren.
