Background

On January 2nd, 2024, we tragically lost our best boy. Joe was the light of every room; his smile and witty ways could instantly make a bad day better.

Prior to January 2nd, Joe attended Kindergarten at River Trail Elementary School in Fort Mill, South Carolina. Joseph had the biggest aspirations and the most genuine and loving heart. He also had great big plans to one day become a “construction guy”, “scientist”, “engineer”, “Rangers hockey player” and to become a part of “the Space Force”. Joe also had a huge role in being a big brother to his sister, Olivia, which he took nothing but great pride in. When Joe wasn’t in school or with his family, he was learning to play hockey, taking swim lessons, and just beginning to attend religion classes.

Because he was so amazing, Joe donated his healthy organs to kids in need and for medical research. Shortly after leaving the hospital, we found out that Joe’s heart would be going to a little kid in New York, which made it feel like Joe had found his way home.

The medical staff, nurses, and doctors at Levine Children’s Hospital were nothing short of hero’s. Had it not been for the pediatric ICU and its staff, we likely would not have had the time that we did with Joe before he went on his journey helping other little boys and girls.

Please consider donating to the Levine Children’s Pediatric Intensive Care Unit so that their medical community and knowledge can continue to grow and help save little lives. ❤️
