Joseph Michael Pellecchia, age 57, of Liberty Boro, PA, died on Sunday, October 16, 2022. He was born in Cheverly, Maryland on July 18, 1965 and is the son of Doreen Lucas Hornfeck of West Mifflin and the late Pietro Pellecchia. Joseph proudly served in the United States Airforce and was stationed in Germany from 1984 to 1988. After his service in the military, Joseph was most recently employed at Mon Yough Community Services as a crew chief, where he worked with mentally disabled adults.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughter, Mara Pellecchia of West Mifflin; siblings, Michael (Catherine) Hornfeck of Belmont, MA; Kenneth Hornfeck of Pittsburgh; Debbie Medina; Jerry Pellecchia; Ricky Pellecchia; and John Pellecchia.

In addition to his father, Joseph was preceded in death by his brother, Pete Pellecchia.

Family and friends will gather at Strifflers of Dravosburg/West Mifflin, 740 Pittsburgh McKeesport Blvd., Dravosburg, PA 15034 (412-678-6192) on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., when services will be held in the funeral home chapel. Burial with military honors will take place at Round Hill Cemetery.
