Joe Peck's obituary
Joseph Peck, 81, died March 13, 2023, after facing the difficult challenges of Dementia.
“Joe Peck” (as he was fondly known) was born on September 20, 1941, in Brooklyn, New York. He was a veteran who proudly served his country from 1961 to 1965. In 1965 he married Lena who was the love of his life. They raised their family and made many, many happy memories on Flatlands Avenue in Canarsie, Brooklyn, before making the move to New Jersey in 1997, Florida in 2004 and finally to Manalapan in 2014 where he enjoyed living at Covered Bridge.
Joe Peck loved his family deeply. He is survived by his daughters and son-in-laws JoAnna and Anthony Siminerio and Cathy and Steven Siminerio, his grandchildren Danielle, Caitlyn, Jacalyn and Jessica who know they were lucky enough to have the bestest Poppy in the whole wide world, his sisters Ronnie Cook, Sharon Oliveira and Dee Vars and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Lena Peck, his mother Helen Cook, his father Henry Peck and his special Aunt Irene Marcinkiewicz.
As a person, Joe Peck was generous, kind, and funny. His pleasures were simple (collecting quarters, amassing a tremendous DVD collection, scratching lottery tickets, crushing it at Jeopardy, playing games with the family and hating on the Yankees), his appetite was huge (especially for beer and pizza but NOT peas) and his love for his granddaughters was immeasurable.
