Joseph's obituary
Joseph Bruce Palmese
On October 27th, 2025, after a two-year battle with cancer, our Lord took Joseph home to be with Him.
Joe leaves behind his wife of 15 years and childhood friend, Gail Reilly Palmese, his daughter Jasmyn Palmese and son John Thomas Corona, his stepchildren Robynn Rivera, Sage Riley (Chad Riley), and Cory Guiffre (Melanie Tafe), his mother, Barbara Colossi, his sister Kristi Michon (Anthony Michon) and his brother Michael Palmese (Lucy Palmese). Joe now watches over his eight grandchildren, Travis, Jason, Derek, Sophia, Penelope, Madelyn, Lena, and Graham, and three nieces, Jennifer, Michelle and Kimberly. He is preceded by his father Joseph Palmese and his uncle Charlie Better.
Joe was raised in Brooklyn, NY. He lived a life of fun and laughter, and lots of softball. Joe was highly respected by those in his banking career and greatly appreciated by those at his and Gail’s church, Axis Church in Long Island. Joe and Gail retired to The Villages, FL in 2021 where Joe is loved by all in his softball family, on and off the field. He will be sorely missed by so many. Heaven has gained an angel. Joe has had his final walk-off home run.
Services will be held 11/20/25 (5:30-8pm) at Lake Miona Recreation Center in The Villages, FL, and 12/5/25 (1-3 pm) at Axis Church in Long Island, NY.
